Television Watching Ability
Some breeds really can see and actually watch television. Brussels Griffons are a breed that can watch TV.
Some griffs absolutely love watching almost everything on television, not only barking or noisy animals.
An Australian professor of veterinary science named Paul McGreevey worked with a neuroscientist named Alison Harman to study the vision cells in the eyes of different dogs.
They discovered different conglomerations of cells. Dogs with shorter noses have about three times as many nerve endings in the retina as do what they call "visual-streak" types of dogs. That means that breeds like Brussels Griffons may not have great peripheral vision but they see things much more clearly, with greater definition, than other dogs.
I looked up the info because our black & tan rough Brussels Griffon is a television addict. She sits watching regular shows quietly. I'll share her excitement while watching hockey.
